Ceramic and sanitaryware manufacturing depends on compressed air for spray drying, glazing, pressing, and casting. Our high-pressure and screw compressors with dryers deliver the consistent, clean air needed for uniform finishes and high throughput.

A ceramics or sanitaryware kiln runs continuously once fired — shutting it down and restarting costs days of lost production and risks thermal-shock damage to the refractory lining — so the compressor feeding kiln burners and pneumatic conveying lines has to be sized for uninterrupted duty, not the intermittent on/off cycle common in lighter industry. Pressing and glazing, by contrast, are shift-based and demand-driven: a hydraulic tile press needs a sharp, repeatable air pulse to hit consistent tonnage, and a glaze spray booth needs stable pressure to keep atomisation — and therefore finish quality — uniform across a batch.

Clay body, glaze powder, and grog dust are abrasive and pervasive on a ceramics floor. Compressor intakes without adequate filtration ingest this dust and wear valves and rings well ahead of their rated life, which is why a rugged, easily serviced screw or high-pressure reciprocating platform — rather than the lightest machine on price — is usually the better total-cost choice in this sector.
